About

indian_summer_loves_field_soap.jpg

Simple wholesome ingredients.
Our soap is Palm Oil Free, Phthalate & Paraben Free. Each soap batch is handcrafted using the cold process soap method.

Natural skin care, packed full of herbs, shea butter, Olive Oil, pure essential oils, clays and natural colorants. Everything your body and spirit crave!

The Process
Our soap is made using the cold-process method. This is a chemical process where vegetable oils are combined with sodium hydroxide (lye) in order to turn the oils and fats into soap.
Did you say Lye?
All soap is made this way. Without Lye, there’s no soap. However, no Lye remains in the soap bar if done correctly, and I have over 20 years of experience in making this type of soap, so you’re in good hands.

OUR ROOTS
Loves Field Soap is more than just great skin care, it’s a path back to good health and for me it was a path back to myself.

Hello, my name is Lori Bartel, the owner and soapmaker.
Loves Field Soap began as 3 Boys Smoky Mountain Soap, on our small family farm in Western North Carolina, (in the Love Field Community), in 1995.

My soapmaking journey began after crossing paths with a local herbal soapmaker in 1995. She handed me a bar of her handmade cold process Rose Geranium soap. I was in love with the natural scent of the essential oils, and the way it made my skin feel so much better.

What followed was a storm of studying everything I could get my hands on, about cold process soapmaking and natural skin care. Soon after I began making my own soap and growing my own organic herbs and making natural salves and balms on our farm, for family and friends.

A whole new world of natural healing with herbs and essential oils opened up for me and my family.

Although we moved in 2018, we're still making our soap.

Love Field is where we found our roots and planted our hearts, and we are glad you're here...

Friends, welcome to Loves Field!
